About Brian Quandt

Brian Quandt, president and co-founder of HEURIS, developed the first software-based MPEG encoding service for the interactive digital video marketplace. An entrepreneur and multimedia expert, Brian launched HEURIS Logic in 1991 to provide encoding products and services to post-production and multimedia development companies. Brian has been recognized throughout the world for his technical expertise in video encoding. As an active representative of ISO, he contributed major portions of the MPEG-1 specification regarding the software implementation of system encoding. Brian is a frequent speaker at computer and multimedia conferences including NAB, SMPTE, COMDEX, ACM and the IMA. In addition, Mr. Quandt has written numerous articles and white papers about video compression and multimedia development.

About Brian Roy

Brian Roy heads HEURIS’ development team. Currently, he oversees software design and implementation. He helped found HEURIS Logic with Brian Quandt and Jeanette DePatie and presently leads the commercialization efforts for MPEG Power Professional™. Previously, Mr. Roy worked as a senior software engineer in DSP and telephony with several cutting-edge firms.

About Jeanette DePatie

Jeanette DePatie, co-founder of the company, was the original director of marketing and communications. She now heads Propeller Head, Inc. a marketing and market research company which specializes in high-tech and multimedia technologies. As a consultant, she continues to work closely with HEURIS, and is intimately involved in product development, marketing and sales. Ms. DePatie has also been involved in extensive marketing projects with Southwestern Bell, Republic of Tea, Gibson Musical Instruments, NTT, and Monsanto.

Ms. DePatie's ongoing extensive experience with Fortune 500 companies helps bring a fresh perspective to the management team. As a member of the board of directors, she helps keep HEURIS' remarkable managment team rooted in reality. As the Voice of Reason, Ms. DePatie continually checks in with consumers, and ensures that HEURIS' efforts remain laser focused and on the track.
