HEURIS Nominated for Prestigious Computerworld Honor by Matsushita CEO

HEURIS is recognized as Laureate in the Computerworld Honors Program

San Francisco, California, April 7, 2002, HEURIS, makers of the most widely used professional MPEG encoding software, MPEG Power Professional is pleased to announce that they have been honored as a Laureate in the Computerworld Honors Program. Earlier this year, a case study was submitted to the Computerworld Program on behalf of HEURIS Logic, Inc. for its groundbreaking work in DVD-RAM technology. HEURIS Logic, Inc. was nominated by Don Iwatani, CEO of Matsushita Electric Corporation who is currently a member of the 2002 Computerworld Honors Collection. The case study on this project will formally become part of the Computerworld Honors Archive at their annual ceremony, April 7th 2002, in San Francisco, California.

Each year, the Computerworld Honors Program identifies and honors men and women from around the world whose visionary use of information technology produces and promotes positive social change. Nominations are made by Chairmen and CEOs of the world's leading information-technology companies. Upon successful completion of their case studies, the work of these individuals and organizations are accorded a permanent place in global history at the more than 150 libraries, museums, and universities worldwide that compose the International Archives.

The Honors Program, also referred to as a "Search for New Heroes", preserves and protects the primary source materials, such as case studies, video tapes, oral histories, biographies, conference proceedings, publications, and other records generated through this laureate program. These innovations are then made available to both scholars and the general public, not only on-line, but also through a program of source and license donations to affiliated universities, libraries, and research institutions around the world.

"Of course, we are thrilled to receive this honor," stated Brian Quandt, President and CEO of HEURIS Logic, Incorporated. "I am humbled and pleased that Mr. Iwatani of Matsushita nominated us. I am very proud of ALL of the very hardworking and talented people that work in our organization."
