Norby Walters, well-known super-agent, has produced the famed "Night of 100 Stars" Oscar Gala in Los Angeles for over 14 years. Walters brings together a combination of the Glamour of Hollywood Stars, Industry Big Wigs, and Corporate Underwriters, all gathering under one roof of the Beverly Hills Hotel. The Beverly Hills Hotel presides majestically above Sunset Boulevard welcoming royalty, legends, world leaders and luminaries with its lush gardens, graceful palms, impeccable service and unparalleled beauty. This years Oscar party (2004) HEURIS partnered with Gateway Broadband to provided important HD services and streaming to the event. Both older style HD cameras and the new JVC HDV cameras were used to cover the event. Additionally, the event was streamed using MPEG4 and the new streaming server which is optional on the JVC GY-DV300 camera. HEURIS provided much of the technology and coordinated many aspects of the event include the relationships with the many vendors. JVC professional and HEURIS provided much of the video equipment. Speedera provided broadcast servers to broadcast the live feed to millions around the world. Apple computer provided their quicktime support and experience in large scale web broadcasting. By the way, the last picture on the lower left is our "demo" area where we demonstrated to the glitterati how and what we were doing.
