spacer.gif (51 bytes)HEURIS Demonstrates PowerPoint® to DVD-Multi Conversion Technology at CES 2003 International RDVDC Press Conference.

New Technology Converts MS PowerPoint Presentations to DVD-Multi format for playback on Compatible DVD Players.

January 9, 2003, Las Vegas, NV: HEURIS demonstrated a new technology designed to convert MS PowerPoint® presentations seamlessly to DVD-RAM Video Recording (VR) format today at the Recordable DVD Council’s Press Conference held at the 2003 International Computer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The software, demonstrated in conjunction with a Panasonic portable DVD player, showed how businesspeople could use recordable DVD technology to display their presentations without a bulky laptop. The HEURIS software can convert from MS PowerPoint® simply and directly to DVD-Multi format. With this technology, business users can simply convert their presentation to a rewritable DVD format (such as DVD-RAM) and play their presentation from a compatible DVD player.

"Even the tiniest laptops are larger and far more difficult to operate than a typical portable DVD player," said HEURIS President Brian Quandt. "This technology will allow businesspeople to leave their bulky laptops at home. All they need is a portable DVD player and they can show their presentation on the portable’s LCD screen, a television or a projector. No more worrying about cabling and possible crashing--it’s a no brainer!"

"We are very excited about what this technology means for our portable DVD player customers," said Panasonic’s Tony Jasionowski, Director "Recordable DVD Council" (RDVDC), North America. "This is further evidence of the flexibility and power inherent in the recordable DVD formats such as DVD-RAM. HEURIS has demonstrated the marketability of this technology in a very real and tangible way."
