LAS VEGAS, NV (April 6, 2003) – Panasonic and HEURIS today announced that HEURIS’ new DVD ConnexIT Import Plug-in for QuickTime now works with Panasonic’s new professional progressive-scan DVD recorder - the DMR-T3040 and Apple’s Movie Player®. HEURIS’ DVD ConnexIT Import Plug-in for QuickTime allows users to play discs created in Panasonic’s T3040 (and other player/recorders such as the HS2 or E30) and play them back on their Mac within Apple’s Movie Player.

HEURIS’ DVD ConnexIT Plug-in for Quick Time is the first program that allows consumers to view DVD-VR materials directly in Apple Movie Player. With DVD ConnexIT installed, playback is both seamless and transparent.

"It just works," said HEURIS President Brian Quandt. "The user doesn’t need to do anything special. They just pull their disc out of the T3040, put it into their DVD-multi drive on the Mac and hit the Play button in Movie Player. Our software does everything behind the scenes."

HEURIS’ DVD ConnexIT Plug-in for QuickTime also allows T3040 users to import materials in popular QuickTime editing systems such as Final Cut Pro. Users can then edit the materials and export to other desired formats.
